To get to Machangulo, you can either fly from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg to Maputo or take the self-drive option and drive to Maputo where you will leave your car in a safe lock up area.
Day 1: The 1 hour flight from Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport to Maputo signals the start of your itinerary. On arrival, you will be met by a representative who will drive you to the Maputo Jetty where the Machangulo boat will take you on the scenic 1 hour transfer to the Santa Maria Peninsula where the lodge is located.
